As part of our vision to support a fairer and more equitable Australia, we acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians as Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and that sovereignty was never ceded.
We also recognise that we all have a part to play in acknowledging and contributing towards the gaps that need to be closed, between First Nations peoples and non-Indigenous Australians.
We support a First Nations Voice to Parliament as a significant step towards bridging the gap. We recognise it is as one of many steps towards Reconciliation.
We see that a First Nations Voice to Parliament protected by the Constitution is a key element of the Uluru Statement from the Heart.
The Uluru Statement from the Heart calls for, “… the establishment of a First Nations Voice enshrined in the Constitution and a Makarrata Commission to supervise a process of agreement-making and truth-telling about our history.”
Why is this important?

At Social Traders, we are committed to creating a dynamic and respectful workplace that embraces Australia’s diversity and recognises the gaps that need to be closed. We have embarked on the ‘Reflect Stage’ of our Reconciliation Action Plan. We are continuously learning, reflecting and adapting to support reconciliation and a fairer Australia.
