Charitable organisations provide much-needed services and resources to support their communities. However, many are facing increasing financial pressures and are seeking alternative strategies for sustainability.
Enter the Adapt for Impact program.
Social Traders, in partnership with White Box Enterprises and Queensland University of Technology, have launched this first of its kind program - focused on strengthening the financial independence of selected charities across Queensland.
We’re excited to share the participating organisations that have successfully joined the program:
These are small-to-medium sized not-for-profits or charities ready to grow their revenue from trade so that they can enhance their impact.
Speaking at the first community of practice session, Alex Hooke - Executive Director Innovation & Impact at Social Traders said “We’re looking forward to working closely with White Box Enterprises and Queensland University of Technology to support these incredible organisations as they work towards a more sustainable model for long term impact.
There’s tremendous potential and opportunity to build the social enterprise ecosystem in Queensland through programs like this one, especially with the recent funding announcement of $20 million a year over four years through the Office of Social Impact within the Queensland Treasury department.”
The program is being delivered in three phases and will have a combination of in-person workshops, a community of practice and one-to-one mentoring. The program will continue until the end of June 2026.
