We are aware that in recent days, there has been online commentary regarding the social enterprise peak body networks. This has not been in the best interest of the sector, and we acknowledge the impact this has had on some of our sector colleagues. These posts detract from progress and collaboration efforts.

The individuals that have made these posts, have done so independently without any involvement or endorsement from Social Traders. The views expressed do not reflect Social Traders values, mission or relationships across the sector, and we strongly reject the sentiment.

Social Traders has always been supportive of peak bodies, and we continue to extend that support. We are committed to working together with the state peaks and Social Enterprise Australia to build the sector.

Hundreds of people have worked tirelessly to build Australia’s social enterprise sector. All parts of the sector are needed. The more we can work together across enterprises, practitioners, peaks, networks, intermediaries, and with people new to the sector and those who have been here for many years - the better we’ll be able to scale our impact together.
