Sally Powell is the National Program Manager – eCommerce for Bunnings Group Limited and joined the Social Traders’ Board in 2018
She has a strong disability and community service background having been the Chief Executive of the Bedford Group from 2011 to 2018, and was employed by Bedford since 2003. She has actively advocated for the employment of people with disability and disadvantage both nationally and internationally, played a key role in the transition to the National Disability Insurance Scheme and development of the Certificate of Education for South Australia, as well as contribute to a number of for-purpose organisations and industry skills boards.
Sally has extensive commercial experience in retail, manufacturing, packaging and third party logistics (3PL), hospitality, landscaping and horticulture, human resource management and community services including housing, employment, training, counselling, community access, indigenous and youth specialised programs and support services.
She is an experienced Director having previously served on the Board and Committees of Westminster School, Workability International, National Disability Services Australia, Senior Secondary Assessment Board of South Australia and Training and Skills Commission (SA) and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology), a Graduate Diploma Human Resource Management and is currently studying a Graduate Certificate of Public Policy.
