Our Event Manager, Selina, chats with Rebecca Green, Head of Social Procurement Services to understand why you should be maximising your membership and attending all the events we have to offer – Let us show you how you can become a champion in business for good!

[Selina] What are our events all about?

[Bec] Social procurement is one of the most significant ways to grow impact, our events are essential training, created specifically to help social enterprises expand, and to help business and government members become leaders in social procurement.

Throughout the year we provide training, forums, workshops and masterclasses on topics related to business development, marketing and social enterprise procurement, all aimed at connecting social enterprises and business and government members to work together to create a thriving social enterprise sector, forge meaningful partnerships and start leading the charge.

[Selina] All our members are busy people, why should they invest their time in attending our events?

[Bec] Membership events unlocks access to the tools and support our members need to become pioneers in business for good, helping to drive organisation-wide change and gaining best practice insights. Our events will help all members to build long-term social procurement strategies and spark the beginning of new business opportunities for everyone!

For all our members, being in the virtual or real-life rooms we facilitate enables shared learnings and builds a network of peers, all driving business for good. I love delivering our training, but I really love seeing our members support each other with how they’ve addressed challenges, it’s really rewarding.

[Selina] What will attendees' takeaway from attending our events?

[Bec] You will leave our events with the tools to deliver and implement best practice social procurement. They are very practical, interactive experiences, and as the sector evolves so do our events - We want to make them relevant to the changing needs of our audience, so we are all working together to create change and look at what is “nest best practice” in social procurement.

[Selina] Do you have any words of wisdom about our events?

[Bec] Get involved with as many of our events as you can. Think about it like Pilates or the gym ... it may be hard to find the time to go, but you'll feel better once you've attended, and you'll be connected with a community of game changers working together to build a fairer future.
