What we're looking for

Convene is shaped by the people in the room and on the stage. If the below sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.

We're looking for speakers who:

  • Are leaders, practitioners, emerging voices, and those shaping the future of social value and impact
  • Are advancing social value through business, demonstrating how organisations can create measurable social and economic outcomes
  • Are embedding social performance into strategy, procurement, partnerships or investment
  • Can share practical insights, case studies or lessons from real-world implementation
  • Bring diverse perspectives from business, government, social enterprise or the investment community
  • Are willing to challenge thinking and help move the conversation from why social value matters to how it's delivered in practice
  • Can inspire others through honest experiences, including successes, failures and learnings

Session streams

Your session will sit within one of three streams. Choose the one that best fits your idea when you apply.

Plenary

Our headline stream for 2026, exploring social value through the lens of sport and the upcoming Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Data, measurement and reporting

From social washing to risk mitigation. The stream for those translating impact into evidence.

People as a pillar of social performance

Resilience, modern slavery, DEI, and what it looks like to genuinely look after your people.

Session formats

Tell us how you'd like to bring your idea to life. We're open to:

  • Keynote: Solo, on stage, with the room's full attention
  • Panel: A facilitated cross-sector conversation (up to 4 speakers)
  • Workshop: Hands-on and outcomes-focused
  • Hosted session: Co-hosted with a partner of your choice
  • Fireside chat: A more intimate, conversational format
  • Other: Got something different in mind? Tell us more in your application

All applications are reviewed by our programming team. Successful speakers will be notified by mid-July 2026.

Speaking at Convene is unpaid

By submitting your application, you acknowledge that if selected, your participation and any associated expenses will be unpaid.

Selection isn't guaranteed

All applications are reviewed to ensure alignment with the event. Applying doesn't guarantee a spot on the program.
