Sally Powell is the CEO of AFL SportsReady Group, incorporating SportsReady Education and The Ready Foundation. She is the Chairperson of Social Traders, supporting social enterprises and responsible business practices.
Sally has held senior leadership roles at Bunnings Group, including State Operations Manager for Victoria. With a strong background in social enterprise, disability, and community services, Sally was the CEO of Bedford Group from 2011 to 2018, advocating for disability employment and playing a key role in the National Disability Insurance Scheme transition.
Her commercial experience spans retail, manufacturing, packaging, logistics, hospitality, HR management, and community services. She has served on various boards and committees, including Westminster School and National Disability Services Australia, and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Sally holds a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology), a Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management, a Graduate Certificate in Public Policy, and is completing her Master in Public Policy.
James Flintoft is an experienced Non-Executive Director with extensive private and public sector leadership and governance experience.
His background includes strategy consulting with McKinsey & Co, commercial banking with ANZ, and policy and service delivery with Government - Department of Prime Minster & Cabinet, and Regional Development Victoria. He has Bachelor of Law and Science and an MBA.
James currently serves on the boards of Transport Accident Commission, Development Victoria, Epworth Healthcare Group, The Burnet Medical Research Institute, Foundation House for Refugees, the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre Alliance, the Mornington Peninsula Foundation, and Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal.
Jan recently retired as the CEO of BDCU Alliance Bank, once a mutual bank, now a social enterprise. She has held senior management positions in the insurance, investment banking, manufacturing and consulting industries in Australia, the UK, the Middle East, USA and Canada. Her current endeavours include directorships on three boards of organisations with purpose.
Jan was the Australian Finance Industry’s CEO of the Year and Regional Leader of the Year for 2017.
Her proudest accomplishment is the successful corporate restructure of a mutual bank to transform it into a social enterprise certified by both BCorp and Social Traders in Australia. She has a BA, MBA is a Chartered Professional Accountant and is a graduate and member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Justin Meade is a Senior Director and Account Executive at Capgemini, where he applies his extensive experience in management consulting and digital technology transformation.
Justin was also a Senior Director at PwC Australia, and held various leadership positions at Treasury Wine Estates, Asahi Beverages and The Hackett Group.
His career spans across organisational transformation, digital technology transformation, working capital management, and strategic advisory.
Justin's leadership and vision continue to drive significant improvements in business operations and social enterprise initiatives, making a positive impact on communities and industries alike.
Susie Pascoe is the Group Managing Director of Sterling Infrastructure and ActivateRail – a vertically integrate transport infrastructure renewal business. She leads the governance and strategic planning of the organisation and has a passion for building a values-led culture and leading people to understand the why of what they do.
With 20 years of experience in manufacturing and consulting, she joined Sterling in 2009. Susie not only has proven experience as a thought leader she also excels in leading large teams, managing projects, and navigating complex stakeholder environments.
Susie holds a Bachelor of Economics and Commerce degree, is a Graduate of the Institute of Company Directors, is a member of the Chartered Institute of Accountants, and sits on a variety of small company and not for profit boards working on social procurement supply chains.
Fran Thorn is a seasoned public sector leader and consultant, recently serving as the inaugural Chair of the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission (VGCCC). With a career spanning over 30 years in the Victorian Government, she has led three major departments: Innovation, Industry and Regional Development, Human Services, and Health.
Fran has extensive experience in social service delivery, including education, health, human services, and central policymaking. She has advised on health system governance across several Australian states, including SA, WA, NSW, and VIC. Her expertise in managing government service delivery reforms and system design has been instrumental in shaping effective governance structures.
Fran has been a consultant to governments across Australia, focusing on health and education. Her leadership and vision continue to drive significant improvements in public service delivery and regulatory oversight.
Fergus Kibble is an expert in marketing strategy and communications, with over 30 years of experience helping organisations create impact, build enduring brands, and protect their reputations. His career experience spans consumer goods, tourism, social enterprise, telecommunications, and automotive sectors.
Fergus founded FORWARD, one of Australia’s first B Corp-certified public relations agencies. He is also the co-founder of Giant Leap, a consultancy that helps businesses embed purpose across innovation, strategy, governance, and brand.
Fergus is deeply committed to growing the social enterprise sector in Australia and unlocking the power of business for good. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Charlotte is an experienced board director, financial services executive and entrepreneur with a deep commitment to purpose-led business. She is a Chartered Accountant with a background in FinTech innovation, corporate finance and investment banking with prior roles at Credit Suisse, RBS, and KPMG.
Charlotte has served on Federal Government advisory groups and industry bodies, and brings expertise in scaling impact-driven ventures, financial strategy, and governance in social enterprise and innovation-focused organisations.
She has a strong personal interest in the intersection of finance and sustainability and the transformative impact it can have on society. She completed the University of Cambridge Sustainable Finance program to further her understanding of the risks, complexities and opportunities that sustainability presents for businesses, communities, and responsible investment.
