Finding legal information for your community group will now be easier than ever before with the launch of the Not-for-profit Law Information Hub.
The Information Hub is a new home for Not-for-profit Law’s resources, with a new layout, better searching and added resources on a range of current legal issues including the:
• Social Enterprise Guide
• Charity reporting fact sheet
• Charity record-keeping fact sheet, and
• Deductible Gift Recipient Guide.
Most significantly, the Hub now extends to cover Victorian, NSW and Commonwealth laws.
The Hub features over 100 plain English, comprehensive legal fact sheets and guides to help charities and not-for-profits from the establishment phase, through running an organisation, to changing or ending an organisation.
The Hub was officially launched in Sydney in July featuring CEO of NCOSS, Tracy Howe, delivering the keynote address.
Not-for-profit Law’s Manager of Legal Information, Kate Fazio, said “the Hub is a resource for not-for-profits written in language they understand, giving them practical tools to solve their own legal problems.”
The creation of the Information Hub was possible with significant support from the legal profession along with philanthropic and government funding. We would also like to thank the 41 people who took our user testing survey.
