I have a diverse career spanning nearly 40 years across the UK, Australia, and the USA. I’ve held executive leadership roles in the automotive, manufacturing, and commercial packaging industries.
Some of the names I have worked for include Rover/Land Rover, PBR, Alcoa, Amcor, Hills Holdings.
Several years ago, I made the decision to apply my leadership skills in a meaningful way and bring my experience to the for-purpose sector. I haven’t looked back since.
As a CEO with a commercial background, I make it my mission to help not-for-profit's create sustainable business models to generate bigger and lasting community impacts.
The overall goal being to create a fairer and a more equitable and inclusive Australia.
In recent years I have been the CEO for genU, and helped create a diverse national for purpose organisation, providing disability services in the NDIS, employment and recruitment services through MatchWorks and IPA, aged care and retirement services, as well as a range of other community programs and initiatives to help disadvantaged Australians to live healthier, happier and more inclusive lives.
Now at Social Traders, we have a bold 10-year vision to unlock $5.5b in demand for Social Enterprises by 2030. This social procurement revolution will create over 44,000 jobs for marginalised Australians, as well as a range of many other positive community and environmental impacts.
I am excited to contribute to this social procurement vision, and to change ‘business for good’ to become ‘business as usual.’
