The Thread inspires rural and regional Australian students to create career opportunities for themselves and their community through entrepreneurship.
We do this by providing a networking platform that connects high school students with the resources and expertise required for developing business ideas. We also produce a newsletter featuring budding ideas and opportunities generated by students alongside informative and entertaining content about sustainable business.
We partner with metropolitan high schools who adopt our platform into their work experience curriculum. This revenue allows us to couple access to our platform with practical workshops, hackathons and mentoring in country Australia.
The Thread’s founders are from regional Australia and saw their peers miss out on opportunities because they didn’t live in the city, had limited support or couldn’t afford to take part in extracurricular activities.Back to Alumni
