SisterWorks supports women who are migrants, asylum seekers or refugees to become financially independent and happily settled in Australia through making and selling handmade crafts and food together. Sisterworks believe that Work Empowers Women and their social purpose is to support as many women as possible into work and access better work opportunities.
Sisterworks work in partnership with the women to develop quality unique handmade crafts and foods to sell through the SisterWorks sales channels (retail shop, online, pop-up shops and corporate gifts). 50-75% of the profits go to the women and the remainder is reinvested back into the organisation to allow them to support more women to support themselves.
The first three years of operation focused on building a strong structure and refining the support programs. Now in their fourth year, they are focusing on becoming self-sustainable and preparing to scale the business.Back to Alumni
