MISFIT Theatre aims to provide young people with a voice to talk about relevant issues for young people though theatrical techniques. MISFIT Theatre endeavours to empower youth and provide an environment in which their voices are heard.
There are an alarming number of young people who are silent. Issues need to be talked about. Drugs and alcohol, sexuality, bullying and cyber bullying, youth unemployment and mental health have been identified as important areas faced by young people today.
MISFIT Theatre intends to use theatre as a method to encourage engagement and awareness of young people to explore these issues.
Created in 2009, MISFIT Theatre aimed to give youth a voice, but intends to further develop the opportunities for young people to explore current issues through a combination of performance, workshops and self development.Back to Alumni
