Hep Ready is a fee-for-service workforce development program offered to organisations working with those living with (or at risk of) viral hepatitis. Hep Ready aims to upskill all relevant individuals and organisations across Victoria to be competent, capable and committed to respond to the silent pandemic of viral hepatitis.
The program objectives are:
- To improve workforce capacity to respond to viral hepatitis;
- To reduce stigma, prejudice, discrimination and isolation for people affected by viral hepatitis;
- To proactively educate the broader community to achieve positive lasting behaviour change.
With three streams on offer, Hep Ready will provide tailored education and training for professionals from a range of service backgrounds including (but not limited to): hospitals, ambulances, sporting organisations, maternal and child health services, dentists, needle and syringe exchange programs, community health centres, migrant health centres, Medicare locals, child care centres, and aged care facilities.
