Bi-lingual Garden and Home Maintenance addresses a growing social problem: Older people wanting to remain independent and live in their homes for as long as possible, but finding this challenging due to the difficulties of maintaining their gardens and houses. The problems are magnified if English is not the language of choice as engaging appropriate tradespeople can be problematic.
The new enterprise will offer lawn mowing, rubbish removal, gutter cleaning plus simple home maintenance solutions, including window cleaning. All delivered by someone who will communicate in the preferred language of the customer, ensuring people get what they need. For many people, bridging the language barrier will offer a bonus benefit of companionship and enhanced social contact.Back to Alumni
