Social Enterprise Sustainability Project

Social Enterprise Sustainability

The National Social Enterprise Sustainability Project works with social enterprises across Australia to help them attain social and economic sustainability. Funded through the Department of Education, Employment, and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) Innovation Fund, this 12 month project will provide a series of assistance to social enterprises through the provision of:

  • Diagnostic business evaluation of participating social enterprises,
  • Business support through a mix of workshops, networking events, tools, and personal advisory services to those in need,
  • Social enterprise research and evaluation collaboration, and
  • Evaluation of DEEWR’s social enterprise support and recommendations for future support services.

Social Traders Managing Director, David Brookes said, “This Project extends the Federal Government’s commitment to supporting the role of social enterprises in creating employment opportunities for long-term unemployed people in communities throughout Australia.”

“Our organisation welcomes the opportunity to be leading this important social enterprise development project.”
