Social Enterprise Sydney Western Sydney Coordinator
Social Enterprises Sydney (SES) is an emerging practitioner-led, membership-based social enterprise that is aiming to provide a range of activities to build the capacity of social enterprises across the Greater Sydney Region. Its mission is “to support and promote the success of social enterprises with a focus on connecting and developing practitioners”.
This is an exciting opportunity to help establish the first membership-based social enterprise capacity building organisation in Australia, and to support social enterprises across the Western Sydney region. The position will be hosted by Parramatta City Council.

Renew Australia is a new national social enterprise designed to catalyse community renewal, economic development, the arts and creative industries across Australia.
Renew Australia works with communities and property owners to take otherwise empty shops, offices, commercial and public buildings and use them available to incubate short-term use by artists, creative projects and community initiatives.
Renew Australia’s General Manager is the key full-time staff member who will be responsible for the organisation’s administration and day to day operations. The General Manager will ensure the successful functioning of the office, the management of schedules and the smooth functioning of the team.

ReBuild Facility Services Operations Manager - YMCA – The Bridge Project
The Bridge Project actively seeks to reduce youth crime through social and economic engagement of young offenders in education, training and employment. Led by a 30 strong member community council the project combines the expertise of the Y in youth justice with motivated leaders of the business, corporate and community sectors. This unique partnership provides a cross sector solution to youth re-offending (recidivism).
The Bridge Project sees the pathways to long-term employment starting when a young person is in custody or on a community based youth justice order. The young offender will be supported, mentored, trained to progress through to open employment.
The core purpose of Rebuild is to provide young offenders with a pathway to long-term employment. It is Stage 2 of the Bridge Project Employment initiative and will compliment and build upon the success of the existing program.
ReBuild is as an Intermediate Labour Market (ILM) model providing flexible part-time work opportunities, on the job training and supportive team environment. ReBuild traineeships are designed as pathway of moving young offenders from long-term unemployment to sustained work.
The ReBuild Operations Manager is responsible for achieving all the targets laid out in the Business plan for the Rebuild Social Enterprise.
The ReBuild Operations Manager should have proven experience in operations management and proven ability in building a positive and quality business culture. Electrical, trade, operations or OH&S qualifications would be desirable.
