Social Enterprise FINDER launch
The Social Enterprise FINDER, Australia’s first comprehensive online directory of social enterprises, was officially launched yesterday in Bendigo by Parliamentary Secretary for Regional Development Damian Drum.
The FINDER enables every social enterprise in any business or industry anywhere in Australia to be found, so that buyers can support social enterprises by buying from them and so that social enterprises can find each other. Any Australian social enterprise not currently listed on The FINDER is invited to login and list itself. There is no cost to list on The FINDER.
The Bendigo and Eaglehawk area has long been a centre for innovative social enterprise and community driven initiatives. The launch event, which took place at the Eaglehawk Recycle Shop established almost 20 years ago by legendary social entrepreneur Peter Cox, was a great opportunity to profile some of these at the launch – Radius Disability Services, Bendigo Access Employment, Our Shed, Community Sector Bank, St Luke’s Innovative Resources and Eleven41 Cleaning Enterprise.
