$25,000 social enterprise grants
Parramatta City Council has been offering social enterprise capacity building grants for the past five years. These have primarily been focused on assisting local emerging social enterprises undertake business planning and other start-up activities.
Parramatta City Council recently resolved a new structure for the Social Enterprise Grants program. The new program is now open and closes on 2nd December 2011. Two funding streams are available:
- Up to $2500 to assist with business planning for early stage social enterprises connected to the local area
- And two grants of $25 000 each to assist an existing successful social enterprise locate in the Parramatta LGA, or for a local successful social enterprise to take a significant growth step
Parramatta CIty Council is particularly interested in applications that assist to deliver on the social, environmental and/or cultural objectives of the City.
Parramatta is Sydney’s second CBD and is a diverse, vibrant and rapidly growing area. There are many opportunities for social enterprises across the LGA – on both the trading and the ‘purpose’ fronts.
